Precisely and effectively using a quarter acre lot, we were tasked with creating an estate like-living experience on an inner-city property. The design program included a Palladian influenced home, to be centered on the lot, with an under-ground parking garage, and multiple terraces. The garden program includes an orangerie, swimming pool, cobblestone driveway, courtyard fountain, and precisely manicured hedges for privacy and intimacy.
The gardens were designed using a central axis through the center of the property and a second, crossing axis, which organized the orangerie, swimming pool, and ornamental garden.
The property is wrapped in Laurel and Magnolia hedges, with layers of azalea and boxwood.
